"Why does it tell me that my Sig is to short?"

This questions seems to be asked more and more since signatures on HGS are limited to 202 characters. Users wonder, how something as simple as

HGS is the best forum ever!

can be seen as over 202 characters. The problem is the changing of characters even if you are just bolding them adds "HTML" code into the background that you can not see, however that same sentence above, looks like this to HGS
<strong>HGS </strong><font face="Century Gothic" color="magenta">is</font><font color="red">the</font> <font color="blue">best</font><strong><font size="4">forum</font></strong><font color="purple" size="5"><a href="http://www.horsegroomingsupplies.com/horse-forums">ever!</a></font>


So, if you reduce the amount of colors/bolds/sizes/links then you should be able to lengthen your signature.

Also, you may see some users out there with long signatures that are longer than 202, these users that had that signature before the rules were changed. However when they change their signatures, they will be restricted to the 202 limit.
