Have you ever heard of this before?

I have a beautifu miniature mare, she has been with the stud for breeding since MAY . She is still showing signs of heat??! I'll be having her vet checked anyways, as the other mare I am fairly certian took, she has not been back into heat since June. Has anyone ever experienced this before, - when the mare actually had been bred and took, but keeps showing heat signs? Someone mentioned that to me, so I am curious. She has had a foal before, and she is a very healthy mare.

I am so ready for this stallion to go home, even though he is very good boy and non aggressive, it is just a p.i.a. and I would like to be able to put my other horses into the back pasture, but I can't do that while he is here. This is the last month I want him here anyways, becuase I don't want to late of a foal next year.

(lol, I just reread this after I posted and yes - I'm tired - ! Hope you understand my mumble...)

Only the vet can tell you for sure.

She could be not pregnant and still cycling, or

pregnant but still displaying signs of oestrus. This can occasionally happen sometimes

Hopefully it's the latter and you can send the stud home!

I certianly hope so. I really wanted her to take, but I don't want to chance to late of a foal next year. They are so tiny those mini's, and nights start getting colder here this time of year. Thanks Kiwi Pony

I have a mare that is 7 months pregnant, and still teases the stallion constantly. They live over the fence to each other. She will not allow him to mount though.
