have you ever heard of...

this is mostly to people who live in Ohio, but others might have heard of it, i don't know. theres this horse farm called Marmon Valley Farm. actually its a lot of things, a summer camp, a weekend retreat camp, a public riding stable, a lesson stable, it hosts shows. you name it, it does it lol. i used to work there and i took lessons there for like 5 years. its a great place! its by a little town called Zanesfield but its also close to Bellefontaine. anyway, i was just wondering. if you live close to central/slightly westernish ohio you should visit it sometime, i think i'm going to see if i can trailer my horse over and ride on their trails, they have tons!

Grr, that sounds like just the kind of stable I'm looking for! Too bad it's like an hour away from where I am...I want a riding stable that's fairly relaxed, friendly, and with lessons that aren't too expensive.
Does anyone who of any stables in Northeast Ohio (Akron, Canton, that area) that either have nonexpensive group lessons or that will let you exchange work for lessons?

ooh ooh! i remember Oasis . did you ever see Samson or Pheonix? they are some of the better lesson horse, i rode them for years! Samson is a huge black beast that reminds me of a fresian (its been said that he's built like a frieght train lol) and Pheonix is just... pheonix. he has a mind of his own!-fun to jump though!

Yes, that's the same horse. His owners call him Smoke now. He's primarily black with a little white on his face and one of his legs...looks like a QH cross to me. Sweetest guy, but Oasis is NOT sweet at all....she has become quite aggressive with the horses in her herd. Thank goodness my mare isn't in that herd!

i never knew oasis all that much. i just remember when i would help the public riders on i would pretend i knew each horse very well lol. something like "oh Oasis is a great horse, she'll take good care of you don't worry!" Smokey liked to chew on things. when i was working one time he completely destroyed a set of reigns. i think i rode him once, but i don't really remember.
