Has anyone heard of this?

I was looking over horse registries the other day and ran across a registry called
the American Grade Horse Registry. They say it was created so the owners of grade horse could have their own papers of idenification. My mom wanted me to look into it but I figured I would ask here first, just incase it is a scam website.
It says they are out of Lakemont, GA 30552-1907.

They said it was for idenitifcation purposes. So if your horse was missing it would be easier to identify them. The papers have 3 pics of the horse. One frontal face shot and one of each full size of the horse. That way its not a he say she say case you know.

same concept as the trail horse registry basically, it gives your horse an identity in case of theft, tracking if you sell etc. and a way to show pride in your horses accomplishments. It won't make your horse suddenly marketable as a stud or anything but it is a good idea for tracking and a fun thing to do.

Shoot, same concept of the AQHA, APHA< Jockey Club, etc

They all were started by a group of people who wanted PROOF of their horses in some way. Keep a record of the horses, etc.

I was under the impression that the American Horse Council was already developing a National ID registry for all horses regardless of breeding. I wouldnt bother registering with a grade registry. The EC has equine passports and Florida is now issuing a photo ID card with all Coggins tests.
