Has anyone ever used Garnier Nutrisse hair dye?

I'm thinking of dying my hair, and from looking around online this one seems to be recommended because it's permanent yet doesn't dry out your hair or anything. I was just wondering if anyone's ever tried it, and if so - what color? and how did the color look, how did it stay?

Thanks!

I have used it before and had no complaints, but to be honest most of the DIY ones I have tried have been about the same quality....none any better or worse than the others. However, I think there is one called Hydrience or something like that that had a conditioner that left my hair a lot softer and shinier afterwards.

Thank you for your help!

I've used it before (some kind of red, forget what shade) and it worked really well. It was better than a lot of the cheaper brands, and definitely smells better! I liked how soft and shiny my hair was afterward, too. I haven't used a whole lot of hair color brands so I don't have a huge basis for comparison, but I liked it.

Oh good - red is the color I wanted to try so I'm glad to hear it works well. I've had trouble keeping red in my hair... I've tried it a few times done by a stylist but it always washed out very quickly. I'm not sure she used the permanent stuff... But I'm hoping this will turn out and it'll certainly save me a lot of money. Thanks for your input!

I dyed my hair red with Garnier nutriesse (sp?) about 6 weeks ago, before that i used loreal preference and the loreal was a lot more expensive, and the garnier worked just as well. And the conditioner that comes in the pack is really nice too

If you like reds...do you have a beauty shop near by? Torrids by clairol are nice reds... here's a link with swatches.

or Wella ...

Buying professional colors are easy to do...all you need is a bottle, gloves, color and the bleach (forgot what you call it). They are less destructive on your your hair because you can get different strengths.
