Harvest of Colors - Results and Pictures!!

So, my final show of the whole year came and went.

It was the Harvest of Colors in Moose Jaw, SK. An APHA breed show. I only took Katie.

I had her entered in:

Open Weanling Fillies Stake
Judge A - 2nd
Judge B - 1st
Judge C - 2nd
Judge D - 2nd

Overall - CHAMPION

Unfortuanetaly...there were only 3 fillies. The weanling numbers were down DRASTICALLY..since last year there were at least 15 in the fillies class. *sigh* oh well, it still a win, not as large of a win as I would have hoped, but I will take what I can get!

Weanling Fillies (not a stake class)
1st under all 4 judges.....I was the ONLY one in the class Very disapointing but good experience for Katie.

Overall it was a good show. We did have some mishaps. A lady walked by and brushed up against Katie in the waiting ring...suprised BOTH Katie and I and Katie kicked out (she has NEVER done this before, so that is why we think she was just suprised), the lady was fine, and I appologized perfusely (sp?), and from then on made sure her butt was towards the rail at all times...dont need anyone getting hurt.

In our classes, Katie would stand for 2 seconds and then start moving again. Literaly. By the champion and reserve class she stood MUCH better and I was pleased. She would have stood better if I would have had the chain on her, but I didn't as I never practiced her with it and she is VERY sensitive, and didn't want to have any episodes in the show ring when it wasn't necissary.

So, I am happy She made me PROUD! EVERYONE was looking and talking about her. People would look at her as we walked by, whisper stuff about her and watch her some more. I had people comming up to me and saying what a gorgeous filly she is. The one judge that placed us 1st REALLY liked her and told me he couldn't wait to see her undersaddle. She is definitally a show stopper that one! And grabs attention

On to the pics!!!

I was getting her ready for our classes...and I had found a SPOT

Waiting for our class.....

In our class....

Here we are with Lisa and Demi (Katie's half sister)

Here is one of Lisa, Katie, and I....

And resting after all was done!

And here are a few of her at home from...tuesday i think it was....

It was cold out when I first let her out..LOOK AT THAT TROT!

And then it warmed up....GOSH shes gorgeous....

NOTE: I ordered 3 professional pics from the show. NONE are from her classes as my friend took WAY better pictures than the photographer did. They are all posed, but GORGEOUS, I will post them once I recieve them!
