Harley is for Sale to good home only!!

Sadly, I have decided to sell or trade Harley for a broke arena horse. This guy is great but not what I need at this point in my riding.

Location: Palo Alto
Breed: ApHC - Appaloosa. Solid, no spots, no blanket
Date Foaled: 1999
Gender: Gelding
Height: 15.2hh
Weight:aprox 1100
Color: Chestnut
Other Color or Markings: White Blaze
Temperament: 5 (1=Very Calm 10=Very High-Spirited)
Recommended Level Rider: Confident Beginner on Trails. Confident Intermidiate in the Arena.
Registered? Yes
Reg. Assn: ApHC
Reg. Number: Upon Request
Asking Price:$3500 OR TRADE FOR ARENA HORSE
Horse Skills or Potential: Cow Horse, Ranch Horse, Trail Horse, Western Pleasure. Barrell Racer Prospect.

Notes: This gelding is an awesome horse. He worked on a ranch most of his life and I bought him to use on trails and in the arena. He doesn't have much experience in the arena but with the right rider and a some work, he will be great. Presently, he is a great trail/ranch horse.
Up to date on everything, currently barefoot, completely sound and healthy!

Please note: This thread is not for critiquing price or skills, or for debating why I'm selling him. He is for sale because my trainer and I have decided that is what's best.

If a person is not comfortable enough to re-train a horse in another dicipline, it is not a smart choice to keep the horse...sombody in need of a good ranch horse or trail horse could use Harley...He isn't what she is looking for in a horse...

I am an eventer....so if I had a horse that I thought had the potential to be an eventer, and than turned out to be more of a gamer type horse, I am not going to keep it when a gamer can buy him and be happier with him, and I'll find a horse better suited for what I do and my style of riding...

She is taking the time to find Harley a nice new home where both him and his owner will be well suited for each other....and maybe somone who is looking for a project horse...not everyone wants a project horse, but many people do...

Your having tough luck with your horses aren't you?

It's okay, Harley isn't what you are looking for and you have the guts to sell him. I look up to you. Your doing the right thing and the mature thing. Your giving him great chance to find the owner who will do his 'type' of things.

Good luck

Thank you so much! This means a lot to me! It's a hard decision, I love this guy, I really wish I could make it work.

This type of decision is very difficult. You are doing what is best for yourself and your horse as you are not matched with each other. Just do your best to find him a new home. You will both be okay.
