HanoX dressage lesson *pics*

I don't think I've ever shared pictures of this little girl. She belongs to one of my clients who lives in another state, so I am the only riding and showing this horse right now.

This is Chessie, a Hanoverian cross by Gigong, out of an Anglo Trak mare. She is 14.3 hands tall, and everyone underestimates her. She is affectionately known as my "fancy QH" by one of our local professionals. We pulled her out of a field less than 2 years ago, and I wouldn't even call her a "solid Training level" then. She is now schooling 3rd level and showing 2nd.

In these pictures, we are in a dressage lesson with Wolfgang May: http://wolfgangmaydressage.squarespace.com/. He is AWESOME, and is coming to our barn once a month, so we'll get lots of opportunities to ride with him.

The canter work:

And playing with the flying change--we are both working HARD in this picture!

And finally, the tired little mare...

First off, you look FANTASTIC ! and you look great on her too, nice fit!

She is darling, and you can see the talent, drive and potential she has,
is she as fun to ride as she looks? I was very impressed by Mr. Mays site.

Small means little, ( no pun intended) two of my favorite horses ever were Stroller and Seldom Seen!

Wonderful pics of you and that darling little lady!

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Paula! I am so fortunate to have quality instruction like this so readily available.

She is SO trainable--little upsets her, and she just has the best brain. She is VERY fun to ride! I enjoy every moment with her. She thinks she's a big, bad girl--she's got plenty of self confidence and attitude to carry her through any physical shortcomings she may have.

Just incase you have not seen this, this is what a horse with non dressage type breeding and "physical shortcomings " is capable of.

Dreams, drive, time and talent are all just other words for..
miracle

You are so welcome it is a pleasure to see both of you work !

I am no dressage person, but quality is quality. Nice mare, looks like you are doing a fab job with her.

Thank you! I appreciate that. I've put a lot of work into this little mare, and I couldn't be more proud of where she's at now.

She is a gorgeous mare! I really like her.

I have chatted with Wolfgang a few times-he is the nicest! I've never have had a lesson from him, but I have watched a few and he really is great. You are so lucky to work with him!

I am clueless about anything other than the most basic of dressage, but you guys look awesome together! (and must I say, I adore white wraps. LOL)
