Halter show training???

I am looking into showing my yearling this year and it will be mine and her first. I am trying to find out exactly what she needs to look like, her stance and so on. I have a gentlemen that is going to help me out, but I would like to start with her now. Can anyone help, I can post pictures of her if it would help, she is a wooly mammoth right now and I am working on getting her to shed out. Any suggestions or tips would be great.

Where do you want to show her? Local, 4-H, breed? Have you ever shown any other horse in halter?

This would be my first time showing halter, and hers of course. She has alot of superior, grand, and reserve halters in her pedigree, just thinking it would be a good start to her career in show or later reining or working cow horse.
