Halter class.....can't decide help!!!!

Ok well I am going to start my horse in halter classes now because she is finally ready lol! The rules say that her mane has to at 4 inches.....the thing i am confused about is to cut it or not. I love her mane the way it is....but i will get point off of my performance because she is not properly groomed. I love the way it just flows and how its not even....and how its dark and then goes blonde on the ends. I have already done one of our horses and she just doesnt look like the same old girl to me she looks kinda odd almost toooo odd lol! I no it will grow back also its just that shes an appy and its thick right now but I have seen them get thin very thin about a year. PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!! lol

P.S I REALLY LOVE HER MANE THE WAY IT IS SO IF THERE IS ANYWAY YOU CAN HELP ME OR CONVINCE ME IT WOULD BE GREAT LOL!!!!!!!!!

If the rules state 4 inches, then 4 inches, if the mane is thick pull it, a nice neat mane will catch the judge's eye, a bushy, long, uneven, mane, that sounds like it is sunburned on the ends will turn off the judge, it will grow back but If you intend to continue showing, then keep it pulled, work on it every other week, just alittle, and it will look great....Cathy

I would totally not cut it!!! I think of it like it's kind of just a show, and if you think her mane might never grow back the same way (Which is proablby true) I would just leave it!!!Good luck in the Halter Class!! I'm doing my first halter class with my fouryear old this weekend!!
