Which do you prefer? Half chaps or full chaps for riding?

Full chaps are nice, but I find that you rely on them too much. They provide a lot of grip, then you take them off feel insecure. Half chaps keep the leathers from pinching and stabalize your leg, plus when you're showing you have on your tall boots anyway, so it doesn't leave you with any less.

Agree with Dawn - full chaps tend to make you lazy. Try riding bareback with sweatpants on once. That'll show you how good your seat and legs are! eek! I ride in half chaps or tall leather boots |

Yes- That is totally true, except full chaps grip better. I like half chaps. I have a hard time deciding. I asked for some long ones for Christmas, maybe i'll get some... |

I like my half chaps, give my legs a better shape in Jods blushing Not saying they're like John Waynes, no seriously the are great with jophur or paddock boots.

i like half chaps best, but where i live full chaps are better because they keep your whole leg warm not just half of it and they keep out the wet.
