Half chaps

I am looking for a pair of half chaps and I don't know where to start. What are some good brands and prices? So far I have found a pair of easy care Dublins for $40. Is that good? What brands do you know of that hold up well?

Ovation suede ones hold up SO well, the seems on mine were just starting to rip after 3 or 4 years when my ariat ones are falling apart after a couple months. Ariat non-leather ones hold up well though.

I have a pair of the Dublin easy care.
I wouldn't buy them again because they seemed to stretch and then kept falling down. But other than that they were good - I used to stick them udner the shower to clean them.
I like my adjustable ones.

I just bought my first pair of half chaps a few weeks ago (just started English lessons). I had looked at some brands and such online and kind of had a feeling for the style I wanted. I went to the tack store and the lady helped me try on like 15 different pairs. It took forever! The sizes on every brand was sooo different, no two pairs fit the same. I finally found a pair that luckily matched perfectly with my paddock boots, so I was satisfied.

I suggest trying some on and seeing what fits.

Thanks for your suggestions. What about these? I have not heard of the brand before but they look ok to me. http://cgi.ebay.com/Arete-Olympian-s...QQcmdZViewItem
