Hair stands straight up?

Okay moneys mane has started to stand straight up... just in one area though.. A couple of months ago we cut it with sicorrs b/c his mane is the same thickness all over... and its easier then pulling so mom doesnt have to kill her hand b/c i cant do it just yet.....

I tried putting a sleazy over it and it worked for most of the day and then it stood back up...Ive also tried putting the the quick band stuff on it and then putting the sleazy on....Ive also tried shampoo it and rinseing it out and then putting the sleazy on wet.... and like i said it only lasted a lil. bit..

So i was think of banding the mane or somthing and then putting the sleazy on...what do u think of that?

Heres what it looks like...it drives me crazy..but it makes me laugh at the same time

HArd to tell in these pics:

Well, I think it's just a bit too short and thick to lie down at the moment.

If you used thinning scissors on it you'd be able to persuade it stay down for longer.

If you want it to lie down permanently - you'll have let it grow a bit.

The thinning scissors won't harm the growing out.

you could always band the section that is standing up. I would wait until its a little longer though

I agree. It is just at an awkward stage...

My horse used to be a polo pony and had no mane at all it had been hogged. When I got him I decided to let his mane grow and it grew straight up in the air! As soon as it was long enough to put in a plait/braid, I put small sections into plaits on the right hand side. This helped to "train" the hair to lie in the correct position. He now has a lovely flat mane!
