Hey everyone I had a horse show this weekend, and you all made me promise to do an update on it haha, so here you are!

So it was a two day show, nothing big, and we did english & western. We pretty much just went for fun and to get her the experience, since she is a dressage & jumping horse and we've only done western once before this lol! She behaved herself very nicely though, I was so proud of her. They were big classes, with like 25 people in each, and we were only in seven classes total - english SMS, pleasure, equitation, & trail, and western equitation, pleasure, & trail.

English SMS, our pattern was almost PERFECT, I was sooo proud of her. She's never been taught to pivot and we had a one and a fourth pivot in our pattern, and she did the pivot perfectly! She set up super fast, too. We were second to last, bleh... I have no idea why. This was the same judge that placed us last in every single class last year at a horse show, under horses that were on the wrong lead half the time... so... who knows. I was happy that she behaved herself.

English equitation, we were seventh, which I was very happy about. She was sooo good in the class, wasn't spooking at ALL which I was totally expecting her to do. We didn't place in pleasure, because she picked up the wrong lead once... argh, it was my fault for not setting her up correctly though.

Western day, she was so well-behaved! Since it was only the second time we've ever ridden western, she was obviously a little fast, haha, but her headset was perfect from our free walk dressage work! Her jog was perfect too, but not as slow as all the quarter horses... we were third in pleasure though, which I was thrilled with. Little break in equitation, so we didn't place.

Trail, we totally bombed. Lol! There was a plastic dear on the trail course that she absolutely flipped out at, and then she decided the log to sidepass over was absolutely terrifying... but, what can you expect from a green horse? I was still proud of her.

Overall it was pretty good, she was a good girl, so I was happy! It was a tough judge, so placing in two classes was enough for me!

My mom is technologically challenged and couldn't figure out the camera, so I only have one picture, from when we were standing around waiting for showmanship results. My braids look absolutely hideous in this picture, they honestly looked way better in real life!

Lol, I love the cocked foot. Your mom sounds like my mom... She can't use the camera worth a darn!! I'm glad you had a good time, and better luck with your leads next time!
