| Senior Member | Hackamore or Bit
Well i rode whinnie in a Hackamore and she did way beter in it then a bit..but she is geting beter with the bit and i whanted 2 know if u can show in a hackamore in 4-h and open shows cus next yer i whant 2 get to the Pulallup Fair but if i whant 2 do that i have 2 really really pratice and train whinnie at the same time but i still dont know what 2 show whinnie in i thick she can b an all rounder but can u use a hackamore?

I used to be big into hacks but no more. Bits allow so much MORE... we bought a horse that supposedly only worked in a hack... well we forgot it one day and I knew there was no way that at 19 he had never used a bit... i mean hello... well it was amazing the difference. He was so stiff and just didnt use himself to his max... with the bit hes gotten so much better... still not where I like him but hes literally just learning all this complicated **** now. I dont know how he was a 1d barrel horse...
