 |  *gulp* show tomorrow...
ehh, i found out today, that i have a show tomorrow!! i ride Koda, a half blind Mustang, who enjoys barrel racing, which i cant really do..so hes gonna do pleasure classes, but im scared! ive ridden him before and everything, but i cant help but be scared of him, cuz he lieks to go fast, and im still learning to slow him down! im going to b in three classes, western pleasure, western equitation, and western command...its times like this that i wish dancer was still rideable, shes such a sweety!

koda usually doesnt need that, unless he is REALLY full of it, cuz he gets excited. there is no "wearing koda down" hes a mustang, so u let him rest a minute, and hes full of it again, lol...my sis had me ride him today (first time i rode since october) and im proud of me and koda. the ground was muddy, and it was sprinkling, and she had me trot him, and for the first time i was able to make him slow down his tgrot. cantering was difficult tho, she had me go around this one big puddle, and as i went around, lower the reins REAL low, and let him go on his own, and hed canter..it took a few tries, but i got it...but i got a lecture bout gaining some more confidence..cuz i need it, and i cant help bin scared, but i think im doin better!

ok! ill have to see if we can bring the camera! but i never place, and i wont, my horse is a mustang, and our shows, even though they are 4H and not sposed to judge by breed, still does, so, im prepared for doing good, but now placin!! cept we have a chance in command, since they CANT go by breed in that! yay!

don't worry, i know you are, i am the biggest worrier when it comes to shows, but one very wise person reminded me before a show once that A POSITIVE ATTITUDE BRINGS POSITIVE RESULTS!!! i own a tb so i know what it is like to never were down a horse and constantly try to slow them, but it is still always a blast. don't worry bout placing, just try to have a great ride, i know you can. show everyone what you CAN do set small goals and just have fun being totally surronded by horses and horse people!!!!! and i know you will do great!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!! KIWI'SGIRL!!!! |
