Great pics!
We are breeding to a perlino dun this coming year (2006 for a 2007 foal). Pretty interesting.
Perlino dun's are pretty sweet looking though...aren't they?!
We've had 2 perlino stud colts born (one in 2003 and one in 2004)..both have new homes are will stay stallions...which they should because both a wonderful! And right now we have a perlino filly....sweet girl she is. And then of course I said we'll be breeding to a perlino dun....and he's getting bred to our buckskin(who appears to have dun factor...so ??dun/dunskin?? mare)....so there's a chance for a perlino from that cross.
A lot of people aren't too crazy about those blue eyes and pink skin...but believe me, they grow on you.

The horse in the picture? No, I just found it on google. I do know a 2 year old Quarter Horse colt that is a Perlino Dun... I have a pet sitting business and the owners are neighbor's of one of my clients. Very nice people and I've talked to them a lot.

My neighbor is interested in breeding her mare and I told her I bet I could get his owners to do a cheap stud fee since he's young and it will be his 1st foal crop.

When I asked about what color foals the two might have some people expressed interest on what a Perlino Dun looked like, so when I found these pictures I thought I'd post them. The colt I know is away at the trainers.

Yes I think so... it's hard to tell if he has any leg barring or other dun factor. I think all they need is the dorsal to be considered a dun right?

My neighbor's got a pretty little chestnut overo Paint mare. I think it would be a great cross. The owner of the colt is interested in breeding him too. He just wanted to break him first. Which is being done now...
