There are two sets of possibilities.

If the stallion is not carrying agouti (the bay/brown modifier) then you're only two possibilities are 50/50 chestnut/sorrel or black.

If the stallion is carrying one copy of agouti, which many red horses do, then you have the following chances:
25% black
25% bay/brown
50% chestnut/sorrel.

You'll have a 50% chance of whatever color coming out Tobiano.

Why would you say smokey black? Her foal color is silvery black, which is almost always black as an adult color. Most smokey blacks are born either pitch black or a brownish shade, sometimes with buckskin "highlights" that come in darker with the adult color.

Wow, you guys just amaze me! Like I said on a previous thread- I wish I could remember all this info that you guys have in your head as far as baby colors. But, wow. It kinda is a total geussing game isent it?

Either way, which ever color, your mare is very pretty. What are you planning on doing with the baby?

At this point I will probably be selling the baby. I just plan don't have room or time or money for another horse. I rescued the mare in september and she was bred then. I plan on getting her green broke atleast and then seeing how she goes from there. Right now I have three horses and I really only have room for two. So one of my mares has to go in the next year. I just don't know which one. It depends on how this little mare turn/starts out.

Learn something new everyday. Just put that possibility out there since I did not know about the foal color being different with a creme gene.
