Grulla Overo Filly *GORGEOUS, Had To Share*

THe breeder I bought my paint filly, Katie, from had a GORGEOUS grulla overo filly last night.

This same cross produced a grullo overo stud colt two years ago, she was left open last year, and hten was bred for a foal this year.

Once again, this cross out did themselves!

Here is the stud colt from two years ago: "IKE" - pictured as a weanling. Has been gelded.

And here is the GORGEOUS filly: "IVORY" (she isn't un-crimpled yet, i will definitally post better pictures once they get new ones)

I told her breeder, that they better keep the mare around for awhile as I want a carbon copy of these two in a couple of years!

BTW: The sire to these foals is PP Chips Treasure: you can view more of his foals at the site below

Oh yes, and here is their website: www.valleyvisionspaints.com

The stud colt? No, he was gelded. Should have kept him a stud I personally think.

The stud these two are by is PP Chips Treasure and he stands to the public.

Do you know the LWO status of that mare? Looking at her pictures on that website it makes me very nervous.

I immediately wondered the exact same thing, but didn't know if I should open that can of worms...

Mare is definitely LWO. :-( This is already being discussed in another thread and we will all have different opinions. I say we leave it be. People will do what they will.

My dream horse is a grulla overo. Preferrably of splash type, but I would take minimal frame. This cross seems to produce louder variations than I like, but they have splash so it's possible.

I was not going there to start that arguement. I beleive I just started it on another thread lol I was asking because I really really like that colt. I am sort of looking for onr and if that filly looks anything like that colt I would love to have her. I will not however buy her if she ends up being what I want and the mom is positive. Thats why I want to know, not to start a fight.

You and me both! I would love to have a grulla paint. At least I finally got my AQHA grulla! She's a mare so if I find the right stallion, who knows

Beautiful horses!
