| Senior Member | Grooming vacuums So, can anyone here recommend a certain grooming vacuum or at least a brand? We're going to have to body clip this year (getting out earlier for shows...yay!!), and we're going to need a vacuum to get the dust out of the horses' coats. We've had an unusually wet/muddy winter, and no matter how clean the horses look, there's always dirt left in their coats. Thank you!

| Senior Member+ | When I use to board at my friend's barn she had one and I LOVED it. It was the Electro-Groom. You can find it in most catalogs: Dover, Stateline.... I hope to one day to have enough extra cash to buy me one.

| Senior Member | I love them. We have 1 in each crosstie at my barn and a lot of ppl use them when they ride after their horse has been turned out (since they are all dusty/dirty/muddy etc.) They work great and most of the horses are fine with them Quote:

| Senior Member+ | I got my Vac N Blow from Jeffers years ago and love it...but at that time Jeffers had the BEST price on the model I wanted. I would first look around at all the different ones currently available then look for the one you like at the lowest price you can find it...not forgetting to check Jeffers Equine to see what they have theirs priced at. Jeffers currently carried 2 different vacuums and both are priced under $200. Some people use the shop Vacs on their horses and they work just fine too. They order the brush and other horse related attachments from a Equine Caralog to use with their Shop Vac. So you might want to look into doing the same...just check to make sure the attachments will fit the hose of the vacuum you get if it is not a "horse vacuum"

I don't know about these- but you may end up spending more in the long run if you go with the cheapest...it may not work as well or may break soon....just a thought
