yep! just don't spray too much or your horsey gets really icky and slimy....

oh and Grooming To Win is a really really helpful book on how to keep your horse looking at its best. Especially useful for showing, but it really focuses on your horse looking amazing through its health rather than just fake products. If i was to follow all their directions on grooming my horse though, i would be there for hours! It was designed for professional grooms, but you can definately pick and choose between their suggestions to get a great looking horse.

I am not a fan of using alot of products on a horse. Day before a show: bath, clip legs, face, and ears. Day of a show, braid mane, add tail extension(at least w/ the horse I used to ride b/c he didn't have a tail), clear hoof polish. Oh my favorite grooming tool is a rubber curry. With regular use you just about massage the roots of the coat, and the oils come to the surface of the hair and makes the coat extra shiny!

I use a small portable cannister vac set on blow to blow the dirt out of coats after giving a good scrub with a curry. Makes for a soft shiny clean coat without much effort. Great when you have to groom multiple horses but they do have to get used to the air and the noise. Mine love it and even let me do their faces.

i read in Barrel Racing by Sharon Camarillo to use rubbing alcohol on your horse before you show and after to get dust and sweat spots off. Put it on a rag or brush. Or spray it on. It works really good but i wouldnt use it alot..it might dry out your horses skin.

I love skin so soft in the summer. It works great for flys and it makes my horse smell nice. Baby oil too?

I love using World Champion Pepi. It's all natural and really brings the shine out! Smells much better than a lot of products also!

I use it on the mane and tail when grooming and also on the body.

when grooming a horse. it seems as soon as you bring them in the barn they have to poop.. well have a shovel ready and when you see the tail go up. grab and catch.. works wonders. lol
