grooming tips?

Any one have any grooming tips to make the white areas whiter on a horse? To take out the yellow color where they end up laying in their own pee.

Just getting prepared for this spring, as soon as its warm enough he's gettin a bath!

well there's really not much to do to keep them from getting all those disgusting stains. I do recommend cowboy magic waterless shampoo, though- you spray it directly on the stain, scrub, let it set, and then wipe it off. It works pretty well.

Quick Silver shampoo works great. Lather it up, leave it on for a few minutes, rinse, and repeat if needed. Also there is something called Mrs. White's Bluing Detergent, which is actually a laundry agent that whitens. I've never had to use it (and I have a big light grey saddlebred and my other horse has 4 white socks!), but I hear it works great, although don't leave it on too long because it will leave the hair blue/purple tinted.

Also, clip the white socks with a #30 blade. Wash them, then let them air dry. Run a damp rag down them and then brush/sprinkle cornstarch and baby powder on top to really make the white shine.

Cowboy Magic all the way! My mom bought some for our show dogs, and my sister used it on her paint, and it took those nasty green stains right out!
