Well since I'm doing it tomorrow to 9 horses here's our pre-show regimine.

Bath- scrub body with SuperPoo and rubber mitt. White legs scrub with a stiff bristled brush and Shimmer Lights. White on face also with diluted Shimmer Lights and my hand. Tail a diluted people shampoo. Condition tail with people conditioner and let sit 5 min. then rinse. Spray entire body and tail REALLY well with Show Sheen.

Clipping- 3-4 days before show clip all white(legs and face) with a close blade. Day before show clip face, ears, bridle path whiskers, etc with a 30 blade. Day of show go over bridle path, top of eyes and muzzle with a disposable razor.

Enhancement- Baby powder on legs. Sand down chestnuts with a sanding block. Black hoof polish on hooves then spray with Ultra hoof enhancer. Spray body with Ultra shine spray and brush with a soft brush and polish with a towel. On face use Baby oil gel on eyes, muzzle and ears for face shine.

Mane- Band the day of the show, trim with thinning shears down to about 1-2" long then trim scraggly hairs with a regular scissors. Spray mane with laser sheen and slinky until ready to show.

Tail-Spray really well with show sheen and brush out once dry.

Think that about covers it!

You spray show sheen while the horse is wet? Is that better than dry?

It gives the coat kind of a barrier against getting dirty. Then when they're dry if they get dirty it comes of easier.

All that I use is the normal Mane & Tail shampoo and it works great. But there is something else that i like to use i cant remember the name of it but it comes in a greenish colored stuff or the bottle is green can't remember but it's a natural
High-lighter. It is pretty cool. You just spray it all over the horse... excluding the face... and thier color shows great.

baby powder works really well on white markings and so does corn strach or somethingl iek that and show sheen always makes a tail and coat shine just odnt use it anywhere you are going to put tack. Also baby wipes and a wet toil thati s warm pick up a lot of lose dust and give the coat an amazing shine (i just had my C pony club riding test ) Good Luck
