| Senior Member+ | Grooming and Showmanship Outfit
I plan on showing Skye this summer in western pleasure and grooming and showmanship. I know what outfit I need to get for the rail classes. I have an idea of what I need to get for the grooming and ss. BUT, what is your opinion of the most professional best looking outfit for a grooming and ss class? Maybe this will help you.......here is a pic of Skye. What would go the best with him? Ignore the leg wraps......they are homemade and I was practicing. lol

I think a royal blue would look nice. Or even a pale yellow believe it or not.

Go with my school colors! Kelly green, black, and white ^.^ Lime green might be a little much (well, in my mind it would be lol), but kelly green is a good even green, both bright but not hard on the eyes. Kind of a hard color to find though...Unless you live where I live lol.

I think a pastel green would look great with him. If you get into the royal blue and royal purple you have to worry about matching with other people with similar horses. Because blue and purple are a very common color combo for bays and chestnuts. So I personally steer clear if I can find a good looking color for the horse. You'll stand out more in a green of really any shade. For western it does seem to be better to go with a pastel or a bright rich color rather than like hunter green or navy for instance. But in some cases it works. I do recommend an actual showmanship outfit rather than a rail shirt and pants, it just looks much better in my opinion. But if you're not made of money (I'm in the same boat) then sometimes you'll have to make due with a rail shirt and black pants.
