i went to the barn to bring in the ponies and then ride the mare im workin w/. and then a lady there offered to give me a lesson on the horse shes riding while his owners are away. i was thrilled to get the chance!

she gave me like 20 min to warm up and get used to him. hes soooo fun!! hehe totally not what i expected, or used to lol the horses ive been riding lately are pokey and just plod along. he was all gung ho! weeee! haha

when we jumped, we just did a few things. we started off w/ an X and a trot pole in front of it. then she added a vertical. so it was pole, X, one stride, vertical. we did that a few times and it went really well.

then we did a figure 8 thing, that was fun! when id come up to the fences hed take off like 2/3 strides in front of the fence. the second vertical that we did in the patteren, hed take a long spot every time... cept the last time we did it go figgure haha it was funny tho. i thought he was gonna go for the long spot.. and at the last second he added, so i almost fell off.. i laughed so she made it an X and we did it again, and he was much better. so we ended on that.

i had soo much fun tho! just get on a random horse and get a lesson.. awesome! haha

my mom took some photos.. tho they arent so great, but w/e.. im lucky to have had a camera there at all! haha
