Great news!!!! Possibly getting a horse... for FREE!!!!

He is a 14 yr old chestnut thouroughbred gelding who is approximately 16hh. He has done hunter trials and cross country. I am so excited I hope he is good!!! Apparently he needs a strong rider but so does Jeda so I think I can handle him. Sorry I dont know much about him, the actual owner wasnt home just her mother. She is ringing me back tonight. I just hope she calls me first, because Im desperate for this horse.

The only thing I wish was different is that he could be a little younger because he is 14 but you cant get everything right especially when you arent paying for him!!!!!

Im so excited but Im trying not to get my hopes up about him incase he goes before she rings me back.

If he does go there are some horses I still have to ring about which sound good... IM SO EXCITED!!!

Yeah! Thats awsome!! Do you like jumping? 14 is not too old, just about 40s or 50s, they can still do stuff. We have a 17 year old thourobred at our barn and she jumps 3 to 4 foot jumps and she does it really well!! Good luck and I hope everything works out for you

Make sure you check him out good, make sure that there isn't a hidden reason that has made the owner desperate to have him off her hands.

It sounds great though, good luck!

The reason they are giving him away is because no-one is buying horses at the moment abd so when they tried to seel him no-one wanted him. the reason they wanted to sell him is because the owner has been riding all her life and now needs an upgrade

lpalomino - I dont know his name, are they horses being given away in Aus, if they are I want phone numbers, lol.

That's great Cassie! I hope he turns out really nice. Trust me, there's nothing wrong with free as long as the horse is free for the right reasons!
