OK....ummmm....what the he!! is "insect residue outbreak"?

ROTFLMAO>.. Well I TOLD you last night I wasn't 'on my game' I got 4.5 hours sleep last night, WOOHOOY, lol, so brain is not misfiring so badly ....

I think they were speculating that there was something toxic left behind from some type of insect next/eggs... a residue left from the insects....I wish I could remember exactly where I read it last year... I remember it because I was thinking at the time "well why don't the try testing for different insect outbreaks then/???!"

I personally would wonder more about some kind of bacterial outbreak or fungus/mold outbreak but hey, what do I know anyway????

The one thing that Jeffie said they did with her boy was use the electrode thereapy??? Not sure of the actual true term, they hook up small electrodes to the area and send small shockwaves to encourage blood flow... I had it done when I blew my knee out in HS... felt like being hooked up to a mild electric fence, pulse, zap, pulse, zap, ... anyway, that was a treatment that seemed to help encourage healing......!!!

**Edit to add, SORRY I meant to post this IN the thread, I'll cut and past and put it there now, sorry to go so OT guys!!!**

I agree....they noted a first outbreak in 1907....seems like they would have discovered some link by now. This sounds like one of the theories about mad cow disease. There was a little known "scientist" (don't know if he was really a scientist or just a conerned person)....that spend a lot of time trying to determine why MCD was so concentrated in the UK. He also noted that in the mist of all the outbreaks was a small organic farm that had not one instance...even though all of the surrounding farms did. A connection that linked all the other farms and was not found on the organic farm was....an insecticide that has been handed out to farmers since WWII (or was it I?) as war surplus. This was applied to the cows on a regular basis. The only other instance of something similar to MCD was found in an isolated herd of some sort of "deer" animal (can't remember...deer, elk, antelope....someting) in the US. This isolated herd/similar disease was found in an area that had been used to dump a chemical similar to those found in the insecticide provided free to the UK farmers. This theory is highly disregarded....but you know...at least it has some logic to it!

Huh, interesting, the chemical damage perhaps changing something on the molecular level.... SOMETIMES I see (FIRST HAND mind you as I LIVE with a scientist, lol) that logic and scientific research do not always go hand in hand While I think it's fantastic that people stop and think outside the box because it is what gives us NEW information, sometimes I think people don't stop and think in a logical manner to try to find cause and effect either... BUT hey, again, what would I really know about any of it I am NOT a research scientist, merely shaked up with one, lolololol
