I believe it is when a horse is harnessed and they have a contest to see who can pull the most weight.
Not sure though.
Feel free to correct me if anyone knows for sure.

Thanks for sharing this Pocahontas....
it did bring tears to my eyes. what an amazing story.
How she held her temper with the owner is beyond me,
no wonder the horse and foal lived wonderful lives with her.

Yeah Peg, held her temper, must of been real hard.
I suppose she knew going off on him, she would not of been able to take the horse and baby.

Isn't it something how the mare remembered the owner when he came out to see them. How she called to her baby and ran to the other side of the pasture.
That mare sure was a good mom, wouldn't leave a starved area without her new baby, and later on took her baby and ran as far away as she could from the person who did this to her.

That may be that this lady that runs this rescue is so intense on saving horses. I spoke with her quite a bit while trying to get some horses out of a bad situation. She acted promptly, calmly, and had it together. You knew how she cared. And, she had enough class in her to always compliment others who were also helping.
The horses who are unfortunate, are fortunate to have her cross paths with them

I think you're right about the horse pulling. Its just like a tractor pull. Who can pull the most weight.

I think the lady found a better event to attend that day for sure though!
