GOT MY NEW SADDLE!Not overly happy with it...

So I got my new saddle today that I ordered online.
Its a black synthetic 17" wide gullet.
It said that it comes mounted with leathers and stirrup irons.
I didnt get leathers, I GOT WEBBERS!!!!
Which Ive never used before, and never wanted to.
And i just realised, That I wont be able to run up my stirrups!

And the treads on the stirrup irons are PURPLE!!
I guess they are ment to be white, But the are a pale lavender colour!
Im not really worried about that,Cause purple is my colour, and Im sure that it will wear off with use.

And it has a suede seat.Which I like, but the suede isnt a very good quality. It already has some small scuffs along the back, Its not too noticable, only if you saw it up close.

BUT ON A GOOD NOTE....
Its SUPER comfy!!

Now I have a question about the webbers, When I unwrapped them, There was a little bit of plastic tubing over the t-lock part.
Is this meant to be there to help with comfort?
was it just there as packaging?
That sounds like a silly question, I know!!

Here are some pics.....

The saddle.

The stirrup irons. You can kinda see the purple-ness, Its slightly darker in r/l

The webbers..... And the plastic in question lol

Haha Thanks.

That is there so the t-lock doesn't tear up your leg or the saddle.

Like the above poster said I think the plastic is there so the t-thingy won't rub you or the saddle. But if you don't like the webbers why don't you look into replacing them with some leathers?

Webbers are irritating at first yes, but I think once you get used to them they really aren't so bad The plastic thingy is so it like, doesn't rub the T thingy...which could be bad on a lot of levels Lol!

You can indeed run up your stirrups by unbuckling the T thingy and THEN run it up and buckle it back. Kind of a pain, yeah...I'd put a mark at your preferred stirrup length.

They should be okay once you get to "know them" At least they should suffice until you buy leathers, if you plan to.

Oh and...what's wrong with purple? Lol!!

They are like a weird style of stirrup leathers.

It's very common to have Webbers with a synthetic saddle.

The other reason webbers are used with synthetic saddles, is that oil and dye from a pair of regular leathers, will stain and permanently mark up the flap.
