got into to grain

My horses got into the barn and ate about one bags worth of senior feed. I am pretty sure it was mainly our older mare who ate most of it. What should I look for as far as lamitis(SP) setting in and should I be worried about it?
Thanks

I agree with Chester, you need to get the vet out, ASAP
That falls under the emergency category

You have bigger concerns than laminitis. Get your vet out there NOW!!!! This can be a life or death situation.

This could be a life or death situation eating that much grain. That is why I kept a lock on the feed room door. Call your vet, do not take any chances on this one.

I fourth, fifth or sixth...lol lost count the advice to call the vet PRONTO..... laminitis as well as colic could result. I hope your horse is all right. Keep us updated please. Best Wishes.

1 bag, as in 50lb?

get the vet out now

The vet needs to tube this horse with activated charcoal at the very least. I hope you have already gotten on the phone.

Ha,
Hubby just called me and told me that our horses got into the barn too.
The worst of my problem is the clean up. Although they did find about 20 lbs of grain.
So, guess what I will be doing this afternoon with 4 hours of vacation time?
