I keep coming back to him

I just can't have another one unless I sell my one mare. Blah. If I could get rid of her tomorrow I would definitely want to come see him...my in laws live in Phoenix.

Yup, that's Morgan She's in LOVE with him. If she could afford to board him, she'd be free leasing him But no, he's not there. He's in Desert Hills where I board him, she just came to ride him that night. Her place is too expensive and a little too far for me! Actually if her place were the same price to board, I'd board him there so she could ride him, too! I'd love for her to show him for me.

Jess, tell me about your QH mare and I'll pass the word around if I hear anyone looking for a horse like her. Or does she have an ad on here somehwere?

I just have to contact AHA to take that one down so I can put one up, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I'll probably do so this week.

She is a 5 year old registered buckskin red dun mare. She's had 4 months reining training on her, and is broke broke broke. She needs to be kept on grass hay because she gets HOT. However, when I ride her 5+ times a week she is fine on alfalfa. When I got her she was on plain grass and did fine weight wise, but I feed my endurance horses alfalfa and didn't want to mess with grass. My beginner husband can ride her just fine when she's on grass hay, and he's ridden a small handful of times.

She is almost 15hh or even, I haven't measured her. Definitely even 15hh with shoes on. She neck reins, knows her leads, backs like a dream, trailers, ties and LOVES WATER! THis mare loves the ocean, puddles, rivers...anything. She won't try to lay down, she just loves to play in it. She is very mellow and not alpha like at all.

When I got her she had some chiro issues stemming from lack of balancing foot care, but my farrier and chiro have corrected it. Chiro doesn't want to see her anymore now that her feet are fixed [they were just very, VERY uneven and unbalanced!]

We had our first gymkhana a month or so ago and she did amazing for never, ever seeing any patterns or being at a show before. Three firsts, four fourths and a sixth [I got myself DQ'ed out of a few classes due to off course or dropping the potato].

Cool, AHA has been easy to work with since I joined the registry recently as a member.

Arabian Breeders Network forum may also be a good place to advertise him. There are always plenty of students that are willing to show a horse like him to win scholarships and take him as far as he can go - I was in the same boat and got my Dark Victory colt for that reason.

I'm trying to downsize, and I really don't know what I was thinking when I bought a quarter horse. *scratches head* I'm an Arabian person through and through, but I just fell in love with her personality.

Now that I have her, though...I'm not sure what to do with her. I mean I do endurance mostly, and she is not an endurance horse LOL She is good at gymkhana so far, so I had decided to use her for that.

But I'd much rather have another Arabian, so she has to go

^^^ I need to downsize, have too many horses to ride, and the market is bad right now. I really could use the money (fun reasons: to get my dog, horse, and HUSBAND fixed hahaha!), so I've temporarily dropped his price to hopefully find him a better home quickly.
