Goofy Question

One of my hobbies is cemetery hunting. I go out to different cemeteries around Illinois and just snap pictures.
Well, I happened upon a cemetery set back in a little wooded area. I found it pretty unique because it seems to be an all Jewish cemetery, and most of them have odd writing on them.

What kind of writing is that?
Any ideas?

I'm not 100% positive, but the first writing that came to mind was Arabic.

Looks like Hebrew to me as well. I had to do a cemetary project for my Linguistics class back in college. I enjoy wondering through cemeteries and reading the markers. You can see some fascinating things if you look closely.

I know. It's my favorite hobby I've been to over 100 cemeteries so far.
