Question going for the natrul healing thing.

I went to the health food store today to pick up some colloidal silver for shadow. i told the lady what was going on and she also said that i should try some liquid chlorophyll and give him one tablespoon a day to help clean out his blood. she also said that i should let him eat as many dandylions as i could find and some sort of clover with a white flower(forgot the name) and i should give him the leaves of the purple never mind i forgot the name of that too it was some sort of flower. i knew about the colloidal silver but has anybody hread of using these other thing to help rid infection and build the immune system? any other suggestion im really trying to go the natural way with him he has been on too many meds.

liquid chlorophyll is GREAT stuff! I dump it in my dog's water every day and just bought a bottle to take to the stable. My mom even drinks it! It's supposed to purify the blood and aid digestion- but I like it because it's a natural deodorant! When my dog is getting it regularly, her poop doesn't stink at all- awesome stuff, if for that reason alone.

the Purple - is probably the purple cone flower- Echinacea it builds the immune system- people take it for colds and virus - You can buy that made for horses from Equilite products. Colloidal Silver is anti fungal- anti viral-anti bacterial. Grape seed is also a super immune builder.
MSM is immune building and antioxidant.
Blue green algae is too- source is excellent to add to a horses diet and has chorafyl in it. If you want to know what an herb does - you can go to www.herbalhealer.com - good infor on alternative- natural- holistic products and services. The products are tested and proven strengh percentage . you can also email her for advice about the horse- but i always look it up on other sites to make sure its safe for use in horses- shes not a horse person so i take suggestions from her and look for the info on it to be sure horses can have it and what amounts.

i think this stuff is working. i went to go change the wrap and give him some silver and chlorophyll. when i took the packing out of the hole at his toe there was a whole bunch of this nasty blackish yellowish funky smelling stuff that had drained out. so i believe this stuff is killing the infection and its starting to drain fast.

That is so good to hear. I definitely think natural remedies are the way to go, and it sounds like you are on the right track with what you are using. Keep it up Shadow is lucky to have you.

i really think that it is working. it took me 30 minutes catch him today it has never took that long. he kept running away and he was bucking and kicking so im taking that as i good sign. when i undone the wrap today a whole chunk of dead sole fell off so im taking that as a sign that his hoof is sheading the bad parts.
