Getting closer

Today we had some friends over and we were out with the horses and I was checking CC, my pregnant mare. She is due March 1 and I am just so excited, she is in the inital stages of bagging up. Just had to share my good news. I had been checking her every couple of days and today was the first signs.

I prettymuch freaked out when I noticed my mare start to bag up a few days ago. Mine should have her foal around February 9th. No barn complete yet so that is really why I was nervous.

It sure is exciting isn't it, know all the waiting and anticipation is coming to an end! Good luck and I am sure you will keep us informed on her progress!! Can't wait to see pictures of your new little one!

Thanks. It is going to be kinda crazy around here. We are going to Haas Horse Farm in mid Feb to pick up two horses and then the new foal too. Our feed bill is going to double! (from 4 to 7 including a nursing mare). Oh well, at least we will have plenty of horses to ride around here.

Can you really have too many horses? We are now at 7, going to get #8 this weekend and the baby will make 9. I am not even counting my aunt's mare! But, we are gona be selling the pony, and foal and maybe the mare in the fall, so we may go back down to 6. Still trying to get my hubby to let me keep the mare that is in foal now.
