Getting close to foaling....I hope

Lizzy, our grulla mare who's bred to Holidoc is 316 days in-foal today. Yesterday she layed down a few times. Last night we were sure she was going to have it. She was laying down, getting up, looking at her side, etc. So far- she's layed down a couple of times today. She has a full bag, teats are about 1/2 full, tail head is soft, and she's big and uncomfortable.

This will be her 2nd foal. Last year she had a black filly at 327 days in-foal...and showed no signs of being ready to foal. So its interesting to see what she's doing this time.

Hopefully we'll have our first '07 foal soon.

I just went outside to check on her and she's laying down again. Poor girl- she must be so uncomfortable.
I ran back in the house and grabbed the camera. Here are some pics taken about 5-10 minutes ago of her...

No baby yet.
Who knows what she's doing. I hate waiting when it gets this close!

Though yesterday and today she has (on and off) crystals on her teats.
