It IS about how we train-because he asked for our opinions on using a GM.

I never mentioned jumping the horse either. I bought him for weekend trail rides and for my young boys to be around horses. I don't show, compete or jump or anything else. I ride western, trail ride and love horses.

I thought by posting I could get some tips w/o it getting blown into something nobody wins from. THis isn't about who's right or wrong. I everyones got an opinion.

I'll do my own research and figure out whats best for MY horse. THank you all for your posts, but lets close it for good.

I've got too many other things to ask in the future and don't want people thinking I stir up contraversy. I don't.

Good holidays to all and good night!

TMAN out!!!
I hope you do come back to this thread Tman...we know its not you who stirred up contraversy...that was us

I just noticed that you said you ride western? This may have been mentioned before....but what type of bit are you using?

Maybe the horse just isnt comfortable with the bit? I have often found alot of my horses do well in an eggbutt french link snaffle. I always try this bit first (simply because i have the most luck with it) and then if they arent happy in that i try just a plain O-ring snaffle
