Gentle Controll Hack

Has anyone tried it? It's supposed to use pressure points to gently teach horses to neck reign. I have an ex racer and he runs through every bit I've got for him. I hate to use really sever bits anyway so I tried this and he's got power breaks now. We're still working on the reigning.

Can you put a picture so can see what talking about? Think I know, but would like to see if I am right.

But what I am thinking of I can't see it being used to teach neck reining, at least not how I am picturing it.

So a picture would help.

That doesn't look very gentle. Doesn't it have a metal plate under the jaw, kind of like an easy stop? I don't see how it would teach a horse to neck rein, especially in 15 minutes or less like the website claims.

Well, then I wouldn't even consider putting this on any horse. There is definitely bone crushing possibilities with a metal plate.

It would be much better to go back to step one and start over with a sidepull or a snaffle and LOTS of ground work. Teach the horse to give before you ever get it on it. I'd try bitting it up in a roundpen (loosely.) Let the horse figure out where the release is.

That thing "gentle control" is junk, IMO.

Oh no...it is all about the gentle control.....because...if a rider were to use more than gentle control for a stop...he just may find his horse sitting in his lap from the pull back

Gads....a metal nose band...what will they think is fluff next?
