Unhappy Gelding leaking urine, anyone hear of this?

My gelding that I just purchased, is leaking urine at a stand still yesterday after work I noticed it. Then later that evening I checked him and he wasn't leaking he was normal. I checked him again in the morning before work and he was fine, I got home from work and he was back to leaking just drip....., drip......, drip..... He's a four year old Paint. He was eating and drinking water, fine, he did urinate during the day and he is pooping, that all seems normal, I called the vet and he said that it could be some nurogical thing he's going to look at him on Friday. I would just like to know if anyone has had this happen to them or know of other possible things. He's not sensitive to touch or there is no swelling or heat in the sheath area. He acts fine, just the same as the day I got him. Or does anyone think that I am just looking to hard for something that might be nothing? The vet said as long as he's not thrashing around such as the symptoms of colic then he can't think of anything that would be wrong with him. He does have these Carpenter bees in his stall, I never heard of them, but the guy next to me said that they will bite anything and keep biting. I don't know I'm lost for words. Can anyone help or give me some information to go off of. I've tried searching it and came up with nothing. Thanks

When he's dripping the urine, is his penis extended (dropped out of the sheath) or is the urine actually dripping out of the sheath?

When he does urinate, does him seem to have difficulty? Pain? Is it a steady stream or is it pulsatile? Color normal?

Well the first day I noticed it he wasn't extended at all. (But I do have to add that I think that he was urinating when I pulled up to his pen and he automatically comes to the gate, He might of cut himself short on that one)(But would that cause him to drip?) Today he was extened about two inches and I haven acctually seen him urinate, only once and that was a few days before this and it was a steady stream and the color was a light yellow tint, but clear. the urine that is dripping is clear in color. Not cloudy or tinted any other color.

Do you know when the last time he had his sheath cleaned was? Make sure it's cleaned, and all the icky "beans" are out b/c that can cause problems w/ horses urinating if it's not cleaned regularly (at least every 6 months).

Dont know whats up with ur boy, BUT only FEMALE carpentar bees bite and they usually stay hidden in their nests. The males you can catch bare handed and not get hurt. Jessie

The vet checked him and said that it might have been just timming or something irritating him, but he must of got through it. He's all okay!

    Glad to hear
.....well, I've tried arguing with a brick before and found it more productive than getting involved in these threads Ambrose
