| Senior Member+ | Garlic - odored or odorless? There is a mare at the barn that has a lot of skin issues recently. Blood work was done and she is highly allergic to fly bites. Her owner started her on garlic today. Someone told her that if she gives her 'regualr' garlic it will give her ulcers - must give 'odorless' garlic to not. I've never heard this. Also what about giving both ACV and garlic? |

| Senior Member+ | My vet was saying something about if you give too much garlic it will cause ulcers. He didn't mention if there was a certain garlic to use though. |

| Senior Member+ | Too much garlic causes Heinz Body Anemia. It takes a fair amount to do that to a horse though, or smaller amounts over long periods of time. Fresh garlic would get pricey to use after a while, and most horses would find it too strong for their liking.
