Games on horseback...

Ok, does anyone have any cool games to play on horseback? I teach riding and once in awhile I like to do something different like have a treasure hunt or play hide and go seek on the horses. The kids love it... anyone have any others?

Red light green light, simon says, broom polo i'll tell you if i think of more.

I have a book called "games on Horseback" you may want to get it. it has lots of games and instructions

tag is something I love to play! its fun<3 You have 2 saftey spots in the arena...and the other rider has to tag the other rider..not the horse..i love it.

the cone race. Each rider has a big cone at the starting line with a few small cones on top. At the fiish line there is another big cone. The riders have to get a cone off from the start and run to the end and put it on the cone at the finish. Then they run back and get another cone bring it to the finish and continue until they have no cones left. First one done wins!

or the tortuise and hare races. Who can walk or trot their horse the fastest without breakind gait and who can walk/ trot their horse the slowest without breaking gait

Ride a buck, bareback riding with a dollar under your leg,dollar must be stuck out a little,you walk trot and canter,as someone gives the command,but you can't loose the dollar.
Egg and spoon, can ride with saddle or bareback, person gives the commands to rider, he must balance a raw egg on the spoon without loosing it.
Pickup-go down to a cone,about 50 to 100m ft,having a person stand there on the other side of cone, as you go around it, the person jumps on the back of the horse with you,you can give him a hand,but must stay on the horse, and can start with a trot,untill you get better, then a canter.

what we used to play is, just a race, but we would have to magazines at the end of the arena, and we had to get to the end as fast as we could, jump off the horse, the trainer(you) yells out a page number as the are grabbing th magazing, and first on the find the page rips it out jumps back on the horse and first one to cross the finish line wins.
