Do any of you have funny comeback lines to people on the telephone? My father sure does.

Alright, this is what happened today..

Phone: (rings)
Daddy: (picks it up)
Lady: "Hi. We're Spencer Foods and once a year we specialize our family customized butcher service!"
Daddy: "You mean you butcher families?" (obviously jokingly)
Lady: "No, we specialize our family costomized butcher service..once a year.."
Daddy: "You just said you butcher families again" (obviously jokingly)
Lady: (hangs up)

Me: "Well, I guess that woman sure doesn't know how to take a good joke!"
Daddy: "I guess NOT!"

I happen to know a few guys named Spencer (but my dad only knows of one Spencer that I talk to), so I threw in, "Oh, I guess I know which place I should tell Spencer to go to now!" (or something along those lines)

this isn't really a comeback line, but my parents and I used to tell sales people that the person they were calling for had died, and then we'd ask them to take us off their calling list. it worked! we almost never get sales calls!

with one of my step-dads friends, whenever he answers the phone and it's a sales call, he gives it to his daughter (who's 4 and NOT shy) and she'll just keep talking about her day to this person on the other line non-stop, until they hang up, lol.
