Try the FITS full seat breeches. They are rediculously expensive ($200+ range), but they are VERY comfortable! They are form fitting, stretch nicely, and don't restrict your movement. I know a few gals that have them and just live in them at the barn... Unfortunately, they don't make my size (I'm a 40-42 waist), but that just gives me more incentive to lose, lol. I hate full seats as well http://www.fitsriding.com/breeches.htm An article on them: http://www.flyingchanges.com/htmls/2...rfectSeat.html

and 1X, and 2x, and 3X. Safe to say you will find a pair that fits. They do run way small. I wear an XXL or 1X normally and I need a 3X in Irideon. ![]() Full seats take getting used to- but you'll like 'em once you do!! My best advice, especially with the Irideons, is to run them through the washer AND dryer like regular pants as frequently as possible, at first. I know they say not to care for them that way, but that's the only thing that really softened up the leather. You tried Sit tights?! LOL. No wonder you find full seats constricting. Mwa-ha-ha!

The Irideon Cadence run small, I agree. I can wear a 2X in the Issentials tights, but the Cadence 3X just barely fit

Of course my instructor wears them all the time and does fine, so who knows. Maybe I will try a L in Irideon to be on the safe side.

I've used several brands of full seats (Kerrits, Pikeur,FITs,Tropical Rider, Equissentials + more I'm spacing out right now), including some synthetic (Irideon) for about 5 years. I love full seat leather for both dressage and trail riding (spooking and jumping and climbing hills). My favorites are Trop. Rider and Equissentials (yes, I am a dealer, but that's why!) What makes the difference is deerskin - it doesn't get stiff, it stretches, it breathes, it washes and look for breeches that don't have the leather sewn next to your skin. You can find reasonable prices on used on these forums or ebay. You'll be hooked! |

Sorry I'm of no help as I just wear the knee patches. Everyone at my old barn swore by kerrits and the one time I used them they worked fine but I was told that they have to be worn in first. (I rode in my friends hence the were already broke in) I really posted here just because I am rolling on the floor laughing at the visuals. I think my sense of humor is becoming cruel. xD

I actually LOVE full seats and even wear them training Western sometimes when I need a bit more 'stick' in my saddle. If you can find a used pair, The Tropical Riders are GREAT... Kind of $$ new, so if you can find a decent used pair, you don't feel bad about using them as schoolers Also, when it comes to breeches, if you're between a size (say between a 30-32) ALWAYS go for the larger size (32) as they'll be more comfy a bit less tight. Lastly, are you getting Breeches long enough for your inseam/legs? That makes a huge difference in how they move with you and feel/fit.

I don't like full seats eather. I have one pair for show and thats it. Full seats are more of a newer fad, the dressage masters never rode in full seats, so I don't see why we really half to. I think it help hide a weaker seat, but I would rather have a stronger seat or put the work into developing a better seat.
