Well, because this is a very active forum threads can get buried very very quickly. So, after awhile, if the thread is not getting any new replies the poster will "bump" the thread up to receive more attention by posting a reply to it.

Bumping is fine... however excessive bumping is not We've had some new members come in, post something... and if it hasn't gotten a reply in 10 minutes they'll bump it repeatedly. Very annoying. It is an active forum, but not that active... especially in the wee hours of the morning lol.
