Free mare in NC

Ok... so this is the only place I will put Reno on. I am not really looking to get rid of her, but if she found a good home that would be great.

I got her about 7 months ago, she is a 15 year old mustang that hasn't really been done anything with. I bought her (yeah - I paid for her) because I was afraid that some idiot would get her and treat her badly. To many of those people around where she was for sale... people who think they are 'cowboys' and like to 'break' horses like Reno. I got her because she is my Star's mom. So it was a buy from the heart.

I have to say, DO NOT SHOW INTREST JUST BECAUSE SHE IS FREE! As they say, a free horse isn't.

She is 15, she's about 15 hands. Has had several foals. I don't want whoever gets her to breed her. She drops down bad and is hard to get back up, and also, she's not really worth breeding. She is a beautiful bay, and is a gorgous horse. She is in great weight now, and I'm dropping the feed off and trying to level off now.

She can be broke, if someone want's to take the time. She leads fine, I've led her all over the farm and across the road. She isn't spooky at all, and is super smart. You have to catch her with feed most of the time, once you get her caught she is fine. I leave the halter on her, she needs alot of work getting used to a halter coming on/off.

I have had a saddle pad on her, she has NEVER been rode! She is fine with grooming, fly spray, and all that stuff. She is fine with the ferrier but you have to pull her back feet forward, instead of behind her. She likes to see who is messing with her feet. (I can show you if you come look at her.) She does perfect if you pull them forward.

She is sound, no lamness or anything like that. Very sturdy horse. Her only health problem is heaves. Right now she gets dex once a day, and I wet all her feed/hay.

She is eating alot right now, but I don't have any pasture for her. If she had pasture I think she'd be a pretty easy keeper. Right now on the dry pastures she is getting in ONE feeding: 6 QTs of shredded beet pulp, 2 qts of alfalfa cubes, 1 qt of ledgends pellets and 2-3 flakes of costal hay. Again, everything is wetted down!

She does fine with other horses, establishes her dominace and thats that. Right now she is by herself, and she does fine that way too. (She is because the others have free choice hay, and I can't wet it.) We can ride off and leave her here by herself and she's calm. She stays fine in any fence. Never has tested our electric fence.

She's fine where she is, but I figured if someone would like to take her and mess with her, or use her as a compainon with some pasture that would be nice. Four horses are rather expensive. She will come with a contract, and I'll check on her wherever she goes.

Oh yeah, she does fine with dogs, chickens, farm equipment, gun shots... all that crazy stuff going on around her.

I can answer any questions, post of PM me. Here are some pictures of her...
