Well, I found lice covering my poor girl from head to toe so she is in quarentine and being treated regularly. This of course means that I have clipped off her entire mane and as much of her body as my little clippers would allow. (man what I would give for a set of body clippers right now!) So far I can not find live lice on her but the eggs are still there so for now she has to stay alone and continue treatment to insure they are all elliminated. We, or my son I should say, has decided her name should be Porche (like the car). We have a paint named Mustang so he thaugth it was fitting She doesnt seem to know trish anyway so we are going to try that out on her. I am uploading pic's now, dont laugh too loudly at her terrible clip job..lol

Well for some reason I am unable to upload pic's to this site so I am giving you guys a link instead. This link will take you directly to her folder in my photobucket account and you will be able to see her from day one until yesterday. As I said before her clip job is only half done but the lice seem to be gone now and she has sooo much more life now! She even talked to me for her breakfast I did have to go back and swap papers though. They had given me the papers for their other Dash for Cash mare and the when there was no tatoo and the markings didnt match you can only imagine what went through my head! The new papers fit her to a T. She has tiny white spots on her rear coronets that are listed Exactly on her papers. I was an idiot and didnt check for lice on arrival and put her in with my mini mares They have all been treated and are lice free but you will see on her Day 1 pics she is in with them. Anyway here is the link so you can see my pathetic beauty in the making Be sure to look at all three pages so you can see arrival pics as well. http://s110.photobucket.com/albums/n...orche/?start=0

This is Sara, a mare that came from the same place. These next two horses were the dominant ones of the herd, and not as thin, but you can still see the neglect. They were also lice infested.

And Sky. If this one comes up missing, she will be at my place, lol!

Is that a broken halter rope on Skye? KC..you definately have your work cut out for you in fattening that poor girl up, but she has bright kind eyes and and a sweet face. Keep the updates coming. Poor girl. I bet she is happy to have hay in front of her that she doesn't have fight for. Or just hay in front of her period.

Its a cut off leadrope. She has not been touched since she was 2, she is not 6 and basically wild. She doesnt trust anyone and freaks out bad if you try to touch her. HOWEVER, she is doing better. She is now taking treats from your hand, still doesnt want touched but that is a huge improvement already! That halter and lead has been on her for the last 3yrs and as of now taking it off is not an option. She may have the vet out to tranq her so she can get her teeth, feet done as well as change her halter and treat her again for lice. We did manage to treat her after 3hrs of trying on Day2 but with not being able to groom or bathe/clip her she will need it again.

We deffenatly have our work cut out for us that is no doubt!
