Free arabians in Oklahoma!

My neighbors' mother has 14 pure Arabians that she is needing to rehome ASAP.
These horses have been severely neglected, they are wild, and only have about 3 acres for all of them, which has been stompped down to just dirt.

Anyone interested in them must come and rope up the ones you want and load them yourself.

They are either light bay, chesnut, or grey.
There are yearling, foals, mares, and stallions.
Please consider helping one of these guys out before winter comes.

PM me for more information.
-Emily

PS: There is NO rehoming fee. You just have to come get the ones you want.

I really hope so too. I was going to get a yearling out of the herd, but decided not to since I can barley handle my horse, let alone a ferral arab yearling.

Too many Arabs, not enough money!

I don't have any at the moment but I wish I did.

I am afraid my QH couldn't make the trip up to Oklahoma on that bad hip, I don't drive but I ride!

Emily, I think the best thing to do is call a rescue center to take the animals. It will be hard to find someone to take a wild horse. At least with a rescue center they will have plently of feed, as well as an on hand trainer

I agree! If these horses are already without food then they need to be placed NOW! These horses will have a lot of health problems if they dont have a single thing to eat even if it is only for a few days!

Here are some links to rescues in your state:

All the rescue in our neck of the woods are way over full! Good luck! Most people in our area don't want an arab. either. There even getting dumped at local auctions no sale owner leaves it. Auction houses are being dumped on. One of our local sale barns shot 11 unwanted left horses. It's a real problem around here. Neglected starved unwanted horses and owners try to find an easy way out. I say turn them in. The law around here is finally getting fed up with it and forcing owners to be responsible.

Many of you have suggested calling a rescue, and as an avid horse lover, I have already done that.
Like someone already said, they are mostly full or have no time to take on a full blown ferral Arabian, let alone 14.

I have resorted to many things, and of course I have contacted every single dang rescue in my state, including the ones that I already knew just wouldn't take them.

Maybe I should try some other states....?

I feel overwhelmed with the whole situation
