Found my horses daddy. Does anyone recognize any names on his pedigree

I tracked my new horse Sammy's history all the way back to the people that bred him.

Here is the daddy's info:

http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/apache+dancing+boy

Its so fun I found his daddy! But I know nothing of show or performance horses. Anybody recognize a name in the pedigree?

I'm gonna adore Sammy the same no matter what the pedigree says. It would just be fun if had something "special" in his blood.

Also, does it give any indication what Sammy might be good at? I know some of a horses skills/greatness is in their blood. It might be fun to work towards a goal with him. Keep in mind, I am a newbie rider, so it can't be anything like dressage that take a massive amount of skill.

His mother is a wild mustang captured out of Nevada. I tried to do a search of what the most common make-up of the Nevada mustangs are (breed wise), but couldn't come up with anything specific.

Here is the ranch that bred him:

I'm excited to hear from people on this.

Very true, that is why it won't change my mind on his value to ME. LOL I just am curious. It would be fun if one of his ancestors was a "somebody".

If you know their names, google them, then either email or call. That is what I did.

I have done that twice. Once with the horse be bought that was too much for us and now this one.

The first horse, had papers. So I googled the names on the pedigree and called. I wasn't sure of the reception I would get, but they were really nice. In fact, when it came time that I discovered the horse was too much for us, they are actually are the ones who bought her!

If I hadn't tracked them down, they wouldn't have known what happened ot their mare.

The horse I have now, wasn't that old, but had no papers. So the seller game me the name she bought him from, and so on and so forth.

I did email the breeder instead of call, because I had an email address. It has been great talking with them. They are very friendly and helpful people!

I am so thrilled with Sammy, I would like to buy his 1/2 brother. But I'm not in the market for a horse right now. But I would still like too!

Yes, Sammy is the horse that bucked me off so I tore my ligament. But he is still a great horse. I just refer to that day as "the incident".

Just go to each one and let your mouse hover over the 'i' symbol
alot of records are under that. you can even go under 'Reports' and look at his sires progeny and what they did. its pretty neat.

Lol, isent it amazing what we let them put us through

Yeah, I tried googling them and looking on AQHA, but haven't been able to find ANYTHING on them. I even found another mare bred by them with the same parents on some auction list, but no pictures...

I haven't given up, but am defiantly discouraged.

I don't know what the "i" is, I can't find it. Not sure if I would know what I was looking at anyway.

I don't suppose you could give me a dummy's summery of what his daddy is? (crossing fingers hoping)

Not all the horses have the "i" beside their name. If you look at each horse individually (click on them) some of them will have a tiny "i" beside their name at the top of the pedigree where it's bolded in black. Beside the picture
