| Senior Moderator  | Forum Contest Issue - Solicitation Of Votes Via PM It has come to our attention that solicitation of votes through PM's(asking others to vote for you/drumming up votes) has occurred in a recent contest. This is not allowed. A contest should be won on a member's own merit, not by making others feel pressured to cast their vote for a certain canidate for whatever reason. If you receive a PM asking you to vote for someone, please forward it to a moderator. We want our contests to be fair to all those who take the time and effort to enter. If a contest is won in this manner, the winner will be removed and either the contest run again or the runner-up will take their place. Thank you to all who take part in the forum contests in the spirit they were intended.

It would obviously not be fair of course to be asking people to vote for you. Or offer rep points for a contest prize. Although, if you enjoy, and appreciate the work that went into an entry from a contestant, by all means I believe if rep points were given, it shows how good your work, or advise, etc... was.
