I didn't watch the whole thing, but at the beginning he said he was one of those who had "Muslims in their families" or "lived in a Muslim majority country." Not that he was Muslim himself.

And who cares if he finds quotes from the Koran to be meaningful? I'm not religious, but I find some Bible stories/quotes to be inspirational.

Religion shouldn't matter anyway...he's the President, not the Pope.

PizzazzandMe - there was a clip in there from a interview with him where he states "McCain did not bring up my Muslim faith" (can't remember exactly what it says).

In my opinion, that is a bad video to judge from since it is all short clips taken out of the context which may or may not give his words an entirely different meaning/intent.

Who cares what his religion is? I personally don't care if he's muslim, christian, or worships the spaghetti monster. He's not a religious official, he's a politician.

I don't condone hiding your faith or lying but in a country with as strong an anti-muslim sentiment as we have, I can't really blame him.

OK, from that clip it seems to me like he's talking about McCain not bringing up the issue of the controversy about his faith being Muslim or Christian.
