FOR SALE: Grey Paint Breeding Stock Mare

She has 12 days currently of riding, great ground manners. She accepts saddle, rider, boots, bit, and we have walked, trot, and loped her. She is 3.

She has been exposed to both bumper and rowel spurs, and moves off very light contact of the spurs. She will move off of leg without spurs as well, but needs a little more "coaxing". She is still WAY Green, but needs a home soon before going to the Consignment Auction. (not slaughter auction, Consignment).

Owner is asking $1200, OBO.

She is registered with the APHA AND The Buckskin Association. She was born a bright Line-back dun. Her pedigree includes Ropers and Reiners, and I believe will make an EXCELLENT ranch horse prospect.

I have turned her off both the haunches and the forehand. She needs time in the saddle and "steering" and will continue her training until she has actual 30 days in saddle. We will be trail riding her next weekend, if the weather holds up. She will be exposed to an indoor arena this friday. She is pretty willing for exposure to almost anything! Once she realizes it won't eat her, she's quiet.

Currently she is being ridden in a Snaffle Side pull. She will be introduced to a regular snaffle later this week (as soon as the weather clears up).

If you are interested or know someone who is, she is currently in Canyon, Texas. Pictures can be arranged if seriously interested.

Yeah, we were supposed to get snow, and we haven't much. though it snows off and on. Day or two of ground cover. Though prediction AGAIN is to have snow on April 22. ANd yes, it has happened! LAst year it Iced the weekend of April 1st with snow mix.

So no, we aren't lucky. Rain, sun, rain/snow, sun. Great "FLU" and "COLD" season as it can't make up it's mind so we all get sick every cold snap, so do the horses. It's HORRIBLE! Horses always colic hte first night of hte cold snaps. Problem...cold snap EVERY OTHER WEEKEND instead of it just STAYING, everyone getting use to it, and we all go about our merry little ways.
